This page describes the small text files (“cookies”) the Tivoly website saves to your device, what each one does, and how to remove them. It is intended to sit alongside our privacy policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a short piece of text that a website asks your browser to remember for next time. It can identify your device, store a preference (such as a closed banner) or signal that a session is active. Cookies cannot run programs or carry viruses; they are simple lines of plain text.
Cookies and storage we use
Strictly necessary
- PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID). Keeps your visit consistent between pages. Used to support the contact form and CSRF protection. Expires when you close the browser.
- Local storage key “tivoly-consent”. Records whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies. Stored on your device until you clear browser storage.
Analytical (only after consent)
- If you accept analytical cookies via the consent banner, an aggregated visit counter is recorded server-side to help us understand which pages clients spend time on. No individual identifier is stored. We do not currently load Google Analytics or any third-party trackers.
Marketing
- We do not use marketing or behavioural-advertising cookies. Should that ever change, the consent banner will be updated and you will be asked again.
Changing your cookie choice
You can re-open the consent banner at any time by clicking the small cookie icon in the bottom-left of any page. Alternatively, your browser’s settings allow you to clear or block cookies entirely — instructions are available in the support pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
Third parties
The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may log a request from your IP address when those fonts are first downloaded; this is documented in Google’s own privacy policy. We do not pass any of your details to Google or to any other third party for advertising purposes.
